Ryan's Family

Ryan's family is very close-knit.  His parents are wonderful, loving people. Both his Mom (Tami) and Dad (Richard) were successful in school and spent a few semesters in college after graduating high school.  They were high school sweethearts.

Tami initially worked for a jeweler in the Ogden area, but as she and Richard grew their family, Tami devoted her life to being a stay-at-home Mom while simultaneously managing the paperwork and financial affairs of their family business. She has always had a full plate, but she always makes time for her family and those who are in need.  She is a very social person, and loves to talk. She is a very devoted mother and has always had a listening ear for Ryan and his younger siblings. She has and does work hard to make sure everyone in the family succeeds in everything they do. She enjoys going boating and doing water sports at our local lake and especially loves Lake Powell.

Richard and Tami own a company in the construction industry and he is responsible for installing acoustical ceilings.  Formerly, he did the same work for another company.  The success of their business has been a tribute to his work ethic and commitment to excellence. Richard isn't as inclined as Tami to approach strangers and start conversation, but he loves talking with people and learning about their lives just the same.  They each take a strong interest in others and seek to make their lives good.  Richard loves to tease people and has a great sense of humor.  He also enjoys many of the same outdoor activities as his wife, like boating and camping.  We are always traveling as a family, whether it be St. George, Lake Powell, California, the Caribbean, or Hawaii...anywhere we can.  It's a great priority of ours.

Ryan has one younger sister, named Sharlene (28 yrs), and one younger brother, named Josh (23).

Sharlene is Tanya's age, and they grew up as close friends.  During their first semester in college, she and Tanya shared every class.  It was because of their association that Ryan and Tanya met.  Sharlene has a warm, rich spirit about her.  She is very musical and spent a lot of time in her youth singing in various choirs, clogging, and learning piano, guitar, and the flute.  Today she is married to Dustin, a high school sweetheart, and they have two little girls, Makenzie (8 yrs) and Alisha (4 yrs).  They currently live in California, where Dustin works in the financial industry...but they are returning to Utah in December 2015!

Dustin is an awesome addition to the family.   He is smart, driven and innovative.  He's always helping us laugh, learn about new things, building our resumes, and making special occasions even more special (ie- Ryan and Dustin throw an annual Valentines fondue night for Sharlene and Tanya...LOVE it).

Shar is able to stay at home with her girls and loves spending the weekends exploring Disneyland, the beach, and California in general.

Josh is a corner puzzle piece for the family, if that makes sense.  Most of us have a little type-A personality about us.  Without his easy-going demeanor, I think we'd all go crazy sometimes.  He anchors us and we adore him.  He does more than his part to make his parent's home warm and inviting.  He's generally the first to welcome you at the door, and always greets you with a hug.  His hugs are awesome.  Josh served an LDS mission in Alabama.

We all got to pick Josh up from the Airport when he returned from his mission.

He attends college and looks forward to spending time on the water.  He loves jet skiing, boating, and fishing.  He has a very creative mind and owns his own wedding videography business.  His life is busy, purposeful, and rewarding!
